OK, Christopher, we graph this almost like an equation with =, but we have to do some shading.
Our y-intercept is 5, so your first point is at (0,5). Because our slope is -3/4 and slope is rise/run, we go down three and right 4, so our next point is (4,2). We can also go, from (0,5), up 3 and left 4, to (-4,8).
Because we have that it is less than OR equal to, the line is solid. If it is just < or >, then the line is dotted.
You should have a line pointed down to the right. Now, to show your entire answer, you shade everything below your line, because your answer is less than this graphed line.
Now, to check your answer, pick any point either on the line, like (0,5). 5 < -3/4(0) + 5. 5 = 5, so this works.
Pick a point in the shaded area, like (-4,5). 5 < -3/4(-4) +5. 5 < 8, so this works.
If you pick a point above your line, like (4,5), 5 < -3/4(4) + 5. 5 >2, so this does NOT work.
Hope this helps!
