f(x) = 3x - 2 g(x) = (x+2) / 3
f(g(x)) = f((x+2)/3) = 3[(x+2)/3] -2 = x+2-2 = x
g(f(x)) = g(3x-2) = (3x-2+2)/3 = 3x/3 = x
Since f(g(x)) = g(f(x)) = x, f(x) and g(x) are inverse functions.
