Six years ago Cindy was twice as old as Carole.In six years Carole will be as old as Cindy is now.Find their ages now

age of  Carole now =x

 

6 years ago Age of Carole = x-6

6 years ago  Age of  Cindy = x

 

x =2(x-6)

x =2x -12

-x = -12

x=12

 

Now age of Carol = 12

Now age of Cindy = 12 +6 =18
