The LCM (Least Common Multiple) of 4, 8, 2, and 18 is:

     4   = 2*2

     8 = 2*2*2

     2 = 2

    18 = 2* 3*3

 

LCM= 2*2*2*3*3 = 72

 

Re-write the fractions:

     1/4            3/8          1/2            5/18

   18/72        27/72        36/72         20/72

 

This is NOT an Arithmetic Sequence.  An Arithmetic Sequence has a Common Difference between terms.
