Put the second equation in slope intercept form, just like the first equation is. Then look at the resulting equations. Are the slopes the same or different? If the slopes are different, they will have one solution; the lines will intersect. Is the slope the same? If the slopes are the same, they will be either parallel lines with no solution or the same line with infinite solutions. Check b; if b is different while the slope is the same, they will be parallel with no solutions. If b is the same, and the slope is the same, then they are the same lines, and there will be an infinite number of solutions.You can do this.
