a rectangle has a perimeter of 158 units. if the width is 4 more than 2 times the length, find the width.

idk how to do this

Perimeter= 158 units
W= 2L + 4
L=L
 
Perimeter = L + L + (2L + 4) + (2L + 4)
 
158 = L + L + (2L + 4) + (2L + 4)
 
158 = 6L + 8
 
158 - 8 = 6L
 
150/6 = L
 
25 = L
 
 
 
Now the width: 
 
W = 2L + 4
    = 2(25) +4
    =  54
