I am going to guess that the equation is 16X-8=0. If I am incorrect please let me know.
16X-8=0 can be rewritten as
16x-8+8= 0+8 we can do whatever we want to the equation as long as we do it to both sides of the equation, this would be simplified by solving the known values which would look like this
16X=8 Now we divide both sides of the equation by 16
16X/16 = 8/16 if we then solve the known values we end up with
X=1/2
