R is the midpoint of QS .

If QR = 3x
and RS = x + 2
, what is QR?

3x = x + 2
 
Solve for x, then plug back the value of x to find QR.

I told you the answer.  You just have to solve for x.  You must earn to take a person's guideline and hints to work out the problem on your own.  Don't just expect to be given the answer without you trying it yourself.
