SURENDRA,
The solution should be x>-1 or x<-7. -1 >-7

Hello Arthur,

It is the same thing I have written above.
No difference.

I agree with Arthur D.
Try graphing them to see the difference.        <-----------o      o--------------------->   is x>-1 or x<-7
                                                                                  -7     -1

3|2x+8|-3>15        first add the three to both sides, then divide both sides by 3.

|2x+8|>6

 2x+8>6      or   2x+8 < -6         then solve both inequalities

   x>-1                  x<-7

Hello SURENDRA,
-1<x<-7 means x is between -1 and -7 inclusive which is not true. The way it is written means that
x is greater than -1 but at the same time less than -7 which is impossible. The answer is an OR solution, not an AND solution. Also, the way you have it written says -1<-7 which is false.

Hello Arthur, Maureen

No confusion.
I should have written
x>=-1
x<=-7
