Can someone please help with this problem? 

 

Find any values of the variable that make the expression undefined 

 

  2y   = 

8y+7

 

I did 8y+7= y= -7/8 

 

so the answer will be y=-7/8?

 

when I resolved it gives me 0. So it is right? 

 

My question is if I am doing the right steps to get the answer

The expression 2y/(8y+7) is undefined when the denominator is zero.

 

   If 8y+7 = 0, then 8y = -7

 

                               y = -7/8
