Determine the equation of each of the following lines

a) The slope is -2 and the point (2, -3) is on the line. 
b)The line passes through the points (-3, 3) and (6, 9).

For both parts, use the point-slope form of a line.

 

y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)

 

where:
m = slope

(x₁ , y₁) is any of the given points on that line

 

Note:  For part (b), you need to find the slope and then plug it and a given point into the point-slope form.
