Rate of Jet in Still Air and Rate of Jetstream
Flying against the jet stream, a jet travels 2600 miles in 4 hours. Flying with the jet stream, the same jet travels 6650 miles in 7 hours. What is the rate of the jet in still air and what is the rate of the jet stream?
I got the jet flying AGAINST the jet stream at 650 mph and the jet flying WITH the jet stream at 950 mph. I do get how to figure out mph. I don't get how to come up with the equations to figure everything else out. Please help!
