rational expressions without a common denominator

2/x + 2/3=1
first i have to get a common denominator,yes? which would be 3x...so its 6/3x+2x/3x=1now i am lost

If you like common denominator:
 
2/ X + 2/3 =1
 
6/3X + 2X/3X = 1
 
6 + 2X = 3X
 
 It is more work.
 
  X =6
 
  -3X = 6 
 
    X = -2
