percentage

I have 25 boxes of paper at 2.99 a box.  for the month of january i spent 74.75 on them. so now i need to find a formula to get a percentage out of 100 for the paper that i have.

the formula Number of boxes x cost/box = total cost  25x2.99 =$74.75

 74.75  = 25

  2.99

 

  So you have spent all,(100%)  25 boxes of paper.

 

 

   Formula will be:

 

   25  = 1 = 100 %  Spent , and   25 -25 = 0 % left

   25

 

  You know the percentage is a ratio.
