In dry air at about 68 deg F, sound = 343.2 meters per second = 1,126 ft/sec. This is 1,236 kilometers per hour, or 768 mph
At the same temperature, sound is 4.3 times as fast in water (1,484 meters/sec),
and nearly 15 times as fast in iron (5,120 meters/sec)

Hi, do you know the speed at which your sound waves are traveling through? The reason why I ask this is because sound waves can have various velocity depending on what medium they are traveling through.
