asked 04/10/14Write the equation in slope-intercept form of the line that has a slope of 2 and contains the point (4, 2).
I honestly have no idea how to do this. I've never had a problem like this. Please help!

y=mx+b, m=slope and b=y-intercept
y=2x+b
this line contains point (4,2)
2=2(4)+b
2=8+b
2-8=b
-6=b
equation: y=2x-6
check: 2=2(4)-6
2=8-6
2=2
