simplify expressions

Given the functions g(x)=2/2x-5, evaluate and SIMPLIFY each of the following expressions:

It never says that it is an equation. Simply says to Simplify the expression:

Stephen, I don't think you should have erased your answer. Students can benefit from a well analyzed and corrected incorrect solution, even more than an initially correct solution.

Maybe, but since you and the other guy have the actual correct answer, and I feel that the problem was accurately and thoroughly explained, I felt that my answer may only confuse the issue. I am making a sincere effort to put to use some of the things we discussed in KG's thread. Just trial and error, poking around for now. Thanks for the feedback. I will take it into consideration next time, should a similar situation arise.
