"terms are generally separated by addition, subtraction, or division"
Only addition and subtraction; NOT division. Division is the same as multiplying by the reciprocal.

You're right.  I hadn't thought of it like that before, but yes, division would be the same as multiplying by the reciprocal.  Thanks for catching my mistake!

But constituency of terms are factors, that are separated from each other by multiplication and division.
 
  So term 2X is consisted of factors of 2 , and X.  The single factor can be considered as single factor term.
 
  Then Algebraic expression is consisted of terms that are separated by (+,- , *, / )
 
    XYz + 2X2z + 3 Y
 
     terms that are separated by Multiplication and division can be merged together to make a single term.
 
     X2 y  * ( 3 Z2 ) ÷ t4 = 3 X2 Y Z2 t -4
 
     See that 3 terms with their factors have merged to make one term.
