Thank-you very much for your help. I'm getting older but I thought that was the rule.
The actual problem I was asked was 5 + 2 x 10
My answer to them was 25.

But 2+5x10=52 2+5=52/10 7=5.2 does not solve. If 2+5x10=70 2+5=70/10 7=7. Solved So right answer 70.
