P(A & B) = P(A)P(B)

 

what is probability of getting tails? Well the outcome is either heads or tails with same chance each so

P(A) = 1/2. You have 50% chance of getting tails.

 

what is probability of getting even number? Well you can have 1,2,3,4,5,6 and 3 of those are even.

so P(B) = 3/6 = 1/2. You have a 50% chance

 

so multiplying you have (1/2)(1/2) = 1/4.
