A fitness club is having a special offer where you pay $22 to join plus a $16 monthly fee.You have $150 to spend. Write and solve an equation to find how many months you can use the fitness club.

16×=128.            Divide by 16

 

×=8

Then amount payable = 22 + 16xN

The total money he has =150

 

So 22 + 16xN =150

 

16 N= 150- 22

 

16N = 128

 

N = 128/16 = Number of months he can use the club
