Let A = first number
Let B = second number
A = B-2
2B = 5A-11
Solve by substitution
2B = 5(B-2)-11
2B = 5B-10-11
-3B = - 21
B = 7
A = B - 2 --> A = 7 - 2 =5
A = 5
B = 7
