How to find the value of a missing variable to make a function continuous

Determine the value of A that will make the function continuous at x=3
 
f(x)={ 3x^2-5x+A     If A >=1
           5x+2A            If A <1

A can be any value and f(x) will still be continuous everywhere
The function f is only variable w.r.t. x, and not A.

Yeah, student must have the conditions for the pieces wrong. Maybe x >= 3 and x < 3?
