Here's your answer, but before you look
at it, I think you should keep trying to get
it on your own.
Answer:
3.......-6.........12.......4..........20
-9 +18 -8 +16
3 - 9 = -6
-6 + 18 = 12
12 - 8 = 4
4 + 16 = 20
20 - 7 = 13
13 + 14 =27
In other words, you have two patterns
that are generated.
-9, -8, -7, -6 and so on
18, 16, 14, 12 (because 9 x 2 = 18
and 8 x 2 = 16 and 7 x 2 = 14
Your answer: The next number is 13 :)
