Hi Youssef, the simplest way to find the x- and y-intercepts when the equation of the line is in standard form, is to set x equal to zero and solve for y. Then set y equal to zero and solve for x. This will give the x- and y-intercepts.
Set x = 0, solve for y:
3 * 0 + 9y = 18
Divide both sides by 9:
y = 2
Set y = 0, solve for x:
3x + 9 * 0 = 18
Divide both sides by 3:
x = 6
The x- and y-intercepts are: (6, 0) and ( 0, 2).
