6 + 32/1000 = 6 32/1000
If standard form means NOT using a mixed number, then you can combine 6 and the fraction like this:
6000/1000 + 32/1000 = 6032/1000.
Do you need to put the fraction in lowest terms? if yes, then using the fact that 8 is the largest common factor of 32 and 1000, you can reduce the fraction to
4/125 (32 = 8 × 4 and 1000 = 8 × 125, then cross out the 8).
Write the final answer as 6 4/125 or 754/125 if you need a single fraction.
