CURRENT AGES:

 

   Let   b = Brian's age

   Let 2b = Sharon's age

 

5 YEARS FROM NOW:

 

   b + 5 = Brian's age

   2b + 5 = Sharon's age

 

   The sum will be 25

 

   b + 5 + 2b + 5 = 25

   3b + 10 = 25

   3b = 15

    b = 5

 

So Brian is 5, and Sharon is 10
