Rewrite the parametric equations in Cartesian form: x(t)=4-t & y(t)=3t+2

so you solve for t with the first equation which gives you t=4-x. And then you substitute that back into y(t)=3t+2 and simplify to get y=14-3x. Thank you very much :) This was very helpful.
