A = (b*h)/2.  Using the information given: 60 = 12*h/2

                                                              60 = 6h

Divide both sides by 6:                              10 = h

 

The base and height are the two legs, so we need to use the pythagorean theorem to find the hypotenuse:

                                                              6² + 10² = c²

                                                             36 + 100 = c²

                                                                     136 = c²

 

The square root of 136 rounded to the nearest tenth is 11.7.

 

The perimeter would then be 6 + 10 + 11.7 = 27.7
