The West bound train is traveling at x mph
The East bound train is traveling at x+10 mph
So the distance in miles between the trains after h hours is (x+x+10)•h=(2x+10)•h
So to find x we plug in h=6
we have (2x+10)•6=720
12x+60=720
12x=660
x=660/12=55
so the faster train traveled at x+10=55+10=65 mph
