Often, the y-intercept (the value of y when x=0) and the x-intercept (the value of x when y=0) are easy to find. Two points are enough to graph a line. An easy third point depends on the equation.
So, (0,-4) [y-intercept]
(6,0) [x-intercept]
(3,-2) [note: the midpoint of the above two points]
