parallel, perpendicular straight line equation question

Hi there, I have a straight line equation that i do not know how to solve, could you help me? the equation is like this:

Find the equation of the line that:
1. is perpendicular to the line y=3x-1
and
2. passes through the point (7,4).

Given the equation... y = (-1/3)x + 19/3
which is correct and in slope intercept form...
 
You can go one step further if you don't like the fractions and
are allowed to use the standard form of  Ax + By = C ... then
multiply everything by 3 giving
 
3y = -x + 19 or
x + 3y = 19
