Topo contour lines are indicating the highest point of the land are where the concentric circles are. The next level sloping down are the lines close in space, and the lowest elevations are the areas with the wide spaced lines. Usually there are numbers on each level (here 3 levels of land) to describe the distance of the slope of the land. Hope this helps!
