how do you multiply radical expressions?  i need a step by step instruction

first, you must know the rules of exponents.

next you should change the radical to exponential form.

then you can multiply.

then you can change back to radical form.

 

Example:   ³√x² = x^2/3

                ⁵√x³ = x^3/5

to multiply these two we have x^2/3*x^3/5  = x^(2/3+3/5) = x^19/15 =x¹ *x^4/15 = x * ¹⁵√x⁴

 

Look in your text book for the rules of exponents.   Then this will become clear.
