thanks, but what do I do with 4x^2-4x?  Does the equation then read x^2=0?  Confused.  I didn't learn it and the teacher gave it for homeowork , so stressed.

No, it does not become x = 0.  You can't add or subtract different powers of a variable directly.  If it were 4x - 4x it would be 0, but 4x2 - 4x is just what it is.  You leave it like that.

Ohhh.  So that's the answer, no work, no nothing?  Seems too simple lol.  Thank you sooo much.  I was completing overthinking what to do

Well--they only said to "put it in standard form"......
 
Notice that the "standard form" is what allows you to factor it ----or to apply the quadratic formula.
