CPC Exam help and job hunting

I need help passing the CPC exam because I failed twice even though i went to a community college program. I also need help in getting experience in the medical coding field with no prior experience for job hunting. Many employers want prior experience so I need guidance in learning how to get my foot in the door.

However, you can succeed by choosing job postings that require lower levels of experience, doing research on that specialty of care, and being able to convince the potential employer that while you do not have the work experience, you have done the research and are willing to learn quickly the latest issues facing that organization. You must put in the extra work and effort to break into coding that way.

Another way to start a career in coding is to begin as a front desk administration representative, demonstrate an interest in coding and billing and, get familiar with that organization the way it runs, and develop relationships with people there who can direct you to the next step in moving into coding. That requires you to have the patience to gain experience by working in a different position until you have gained respect and demonstrated your skills in the position you're in.
