They wouldn't want you to have access to a server, and instead of scraping data you would just request it using a query if you had free reign. The key to gathering information from web scraping is to think out specifically what type of data you want to compare and a creative way to gather it from sites. If that isn't doable on the site you are using, then you need to look for another that might display similar information.
