Hey Rex, thank you for asking. I would like to answer your question, and then tell you my method for figuring out the price.
From the research I did (based on your description of the card), I would estimate that you might be able to get $1.00 for that card.
My method:
- Go to Ebay.com
- Search: "topps 2018 Memorial Day"
- Filter the results to only show 'Completed Items' and 'Sold Items'
When I did this, it showed a Kris Bryant Memorial Day Camo, that sold for $2.50. A similar Chris Sale card sold for less that $2.00. I'm not sure how much you follow baseball, but those two players are much higher-profile than Brett Gardner. Now, there are exceptions. I saw other players who are lower than Brett Gardner go for 6 or 7 dollars. So it sometimes comes down to the buyer, and whether you can find somebody willing to pay more. However, the players I saw were quite young, so perhaps the buyers were taking a chance, and hope that the cards will gain value in the future. Brett Gardner is already a veteran, so I do not think that would apply to him. Therefore, I would guess the value of your card to be something less that the Kris Bryant card. That is where I got my $1.00 estimate.
Here is a link to a YouTube video, where entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk goes into greater detail on this idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iogCj_ttYs
Thank you for your question, and have a nice day.
