I plan on getting a screen replacement for my iPhone 7 plus but I heard that touch id won't work or something I have the original home button so will it work with a new screen

If you install the original home button with the new screen, Touch ID will still work. Touch ID only works on original Apple product so if your screen replacement comes with the home button, don't use that one. Also, make sure to use the original cable from the home button. This will consume more time in replacing the screen and the home button, but in the end, you'll have the convenience of the Touch ID.
