I am a chemistry master and may enter the patent law consulation area, what should I do? Do I need take patent bar exam? What other relevant books I should read before preparing the exam?

In short, one must take a certain number of science classes (see the above link) and take--and pass - the patent bar exam.

The patent bar is exam is offered at some testing centers. It is a 6 hour, multiple choice exam. It is notoriously difficult (pass rate hovers around 50%). I would strongly suggest taking a patent bar review class before sitting for the exam
