To locate the subnet mask on a Mac

1. start by clicking on the Apple menu from the top left corner of your desktop.
2. Select System Preferences
3. Double click Network
4. Select Automatic from the Location drop down menu
5. Select the connection you are connected to from the left side of the Network pane
6. Click Advanced from the lower right corner, then click TCP/IP

The subnet mask will appear.
