To locate the subnet mask on a Mac
- start by clicking on the Apple menu from the top left corner of your desktop.
- Select System Preferences
- Double click Network
- Select Automatic from the Location drop down menu
- Select the connection you are connected to from the left side of the Network pane
- Click Advanced from the lower right corner, then click TCP/IP
The subnet mask will appear.
