Which bar exam is better to take, after an LLM in law and technology from UC Berkeley, New York Bar or California Bar? And why?

It depends on where you want to practice. The NY Bar Exam is significantly easier to pass and if you pass in NY, you can be admitted to a variety of other jurisdictions. Further, if you intend to do patent work with a law and technology background, you may only need to be admitted to A bar and not a particular state, in which case I would take NY.

If you intend to practice in CA, then it makes sense to sit for the bar in CA.
