The Bar exam differs between States, depending on if the State administers a State specific exam, or has joined the Universal Bar Exam.
Thirty six states have joined the UBE, most of which employ an additional State specific portion. The UBE portion of the exam tests federal law and does not contain State specific law.
The remaining fourteen States give their own Bar exam which contains state specific law in several portions.
