Hello. The California Bar Exam places a lot of emphasis on using the IRAC method on the written essays (Issue, Rule, Analysis, Conclusion) and on keeping your paragraphs succinct. The easiest way to ensure that you use IRAC and address the matters directly is to first read the fact pattern thoroughly to get an idea of the issues presented, then to carefully reread as you make an IRAC chart. You can then use the chart as your outline, with one to two paragraphs devoted to each issue. The key is to spend a significant amount of time on your preparation work.
