In all seriousness, one of the best ways to reduce threats from microbes is to prevent transmission in the first place. How we do this depends a lot on the disease. Mosquito-borne illnesses are globally a major threat, but eradicating every mosquito on the planet wouldn't stop airborne viruses from spreading!
The next best way is to be smart about drug usage. We need to make sure antibiotics are only being taken when absolutely necessary, and that when patients do take antibiotics they take them in a resposible manner.
