The answer to this question really depends on a few factors. How tenacious is the candidate? This will take a lot of tenacity! You have to be willing to get turned down and keep trying! Are you willing to move? Even when I was looking 25 years ago, I moved several times to get more experience and promotions. If the market is saturated where you are due to schools graduating students in that specialty, lack of medical facilities, etc. , moving is sometimes your only option.
