I personally don't think it would be as devastating as you might think.
Ebola is very deadly, true. But, it is also very difficult to spread. It spreads primarily in rural regions where there is little to no access to healthcare, and the primary healthcare is through family or apothecary-like individuals. This disease requires direct contact. So, quarantining is extremely effective.
The people who would be most at risk are the healthcare workers. This is why using droplet precautions is so important.
