AHIMA and AAPC have online programs. Once you complete the program, then you can take certification exams with AHIMA - CCS, RHIT, RHIA and/or AAPC - CPC, CRC. These are examples of some of the certifications, there are others. For the better paying coding jobs, you will need a certification from one of these programs.
