Hi Julie--
First find the hidden piece of info: if she SPENT 35% it means she still HAS 65%.
Which means we need to find 65% of 255.
65% is represented as 65/100, and we need to find out what chunk of 255 corresponds to it.
So we set up a proportion: 65/100 = n/225
Cross multiply and you get 100n = 65*225
divide both sides by 100 so you will have n = 65*2.25, or...
n= 146.25 That's how much money she's got left.
