You have two numbers that adds/subtracts to -6 and multiplies to -16. You can see that "C" value (from Ax2 + Bx +C) is negative which means one of the terms must be negative. To find out which one is negative, you have to look at the middle term which is also negative. That means one of the bigger number will be negative.
4 and 4 will not work because middle term will become 0 or no middle term after making -16. This will not work.
8 and 2. They add up to 10 or subtracts to 6. Since middle term is negative, 8 must be negative and 2 must be positive to make middle term -6. As it adds up to -6, it also multiplies to -16. So it will look like this:
(x-8)(x+2)
16 and 1 will not work because it adds/subtracts to 15 or 17. Good luck to you.
